If there’s anything to be learned with all the shenanigans surrounds new releases over the past few years, it’s that you’re almost always better-off waiting for the sale. Because, unless it’s a first-party Nintendo game, all games go on sale sooner or later, and they’ll almost certainly be in a much more playable state. One of those inevitable sales is actually live right now on the Switch eShop, and they’re featuring more than a few big titles. None are Nintendo games of course, but they’re still worth a look if you haven’t tried ‘em yet.
Among the more notable games included in the “Blockbuster Sale,” Switch-owners can find the likes of Hades (down to $17.49 from $24.99), Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (down to $14.99 from $59.99), Monster Hunter Rise ($49.99 from $59.99), Persona 5 Strikers ($35.99 from $59.99), and Overcooked 2 (8.49 from 24.99). This isn’t everything that’s on sale of course, but it’s a decent cross-section of the sorts of titles fans can pick up on the cheap at the moment. This’ll last until October 3rd, so there’s plenty of time yet to browse and think about whether or not now is the best time to buy.
Hopefully, one day we’ll see a decent price drop on Nintendo’s games, but I won’t hold my breath. (Seriously though, it’s been over 3 years since Smash Ultimate was released and it’s still $60! Come on Nintendo!)
Is there anything here that you’d like? Which Nintendo game would you most like to see go on sale?
