Rules and Acknowledgements

There aren’t many rules here but the following are important and MUST be adhered to.

1.) Images used on this site must have a Creative Commons attribution license, and the authors visibly credited.

Just grabbing and using any ol’ image off the web can be a dangerous thing that we’d like to avoid. So,  if you don’t know where to get creative commons licensed images, just search “Flickr Creative Commons” in Google, that’s a good place to start. (The image at the top of the page is sourced from Flickr creative commons and correctly attributed, follow that example.)

If you have your own images you’d like to use, we’re happy to use them so long as we can confirm that they’re yours. Ideally we’d like written permission to use them, so if you send us an image to use with a post on the site, please just state that you’re allowing us to use it in that message.

While images are not required for posts, if you choose to insert a header or “featured” image, please make sure it is at least 672 pixels wide. (And please link it as the featured image to the post.) This will ensure that your post will appear on our home page.

2.) Anything posted here must be your own work, no straight re-blogging from sources other than yourself.

3.) Keep it Clean

We want Virtual Bastion is meant to be a haven for enthusiastic and civil discussion of video games. Posts don’t always have to be positive, but we do insist on keeping them clean in order to promote that ideal.

Acknowledgements

We hope it goes without saying that by posting here on Virtual Bastion  you give us permission to display your post.

Finally, if you have been posting here and one day decide that you don’t want to be affiliated with Virtual Bastion anymore, all you have to do is ask and we will promptly remove any content you’ve posted here. We hope it never comes to that, but if it does we’ll wish you well all the same.

Regarding Youtube

Q: Does Virtual Bastion collaborate with fellow Youtubers?

A: No, at this time, we do not collaborate on Youtube.

Hello, I’ve just wrote my first blog, and am still figuring the site out. Would you accept me, this sounds like an excellent idea and you guys seem to have a much better idea of what your doing than I do.

Thank you for your offer to contribute to United We Game. I will email my fellow admins, and we’ll get back to you.

While I can tell you what we’ve decided here, if you would like to, you can email us at wegameunited@gmail.com or leave us your email address in a comment, and we can contact you by email. (By the way, if you leave your email address in a comment, I can delete it once we have your contact info if you don’t want your contact info visible to others.)
