For those fortunate enough to have procured a PS5, there’s a really interesting new game coming out really soon called Ghostwire: Tokyo. It’s actually from the same studio that brought us the Evil Within series, and it even started development as The Evil Within 3, but it apparently took on a life of its own and became this. Some new gameplay for Ghostwire: Tokyo got released the other day, and I have to say that it’s got me wishing that I’d found me a PS5.

As you can see, Ghostwire: Tokyo is a first-person game that blends several different genres together. Things like FPS, RPGs and even immersive sims all seem to represented here, and it all appears to be working together fairly well. I really love this yokai invasion scenario they’ve got going on, and I’m really psyched to see how Tokyo is represented in game.

Personally speaking, I’ve visited a few of the places shown in the trailers, so I’m really looking forward to exploring the altered reality versions. Alas, I’ll have to wait until either I find a PS5 or the game comes to Xbox; whichever happens first. Ah well, at least it’s something to look forward to!
