Is it October already?! Oh yes, it certainly is! As such, we are ready and raring to celebrate yet another spooky season with a month of posts to match. This time around, however, we’ve got our sights set on a silly-scary blast from the past. First there was October is Spooptober, then there was Spooptober Returns!…and now it’s time for (*dramatic pause*) the Revenge of Spooptober!

A few years back, we adopted “Spooptober” as a different take on the blogging event “Spooktober.” With ye olde Internet meme “spoopy” in mind, we focused on all things in games that were spooky, silly, cute, and strange in equal measure. We had a great time sharing so much spoopy fun back then, and in returning to the theme this year, we wondered if any of our feelings had changed about our spoopy game and character selections. After all, we’ve each encountered some amount of spoopiness in games over the past couple of years – is there anything new worth talking about, or do our previous choices still hold up? Finding out is what Revenge of Spooptober! is all about.

And so, we hope you’ll join us throughout October as we revisit Spooptober and cast fresh eyes on our own spoopy content. From the unusual to the endearing to the wonderfully bizarre, there are lots of spoopy video game discussions to come this month on Virtual Bastion!
