After months and months of diligently playing the newest entry to the Animal Crossing series, of carefully crafting the perfect island, decorating the perfect house, and collecting the perfect set of villagers, I think I’m finally bored. That’s not to say the game isn’t fantastic. Because I absolutely love it. But until the next major update…I think I’m mostly done for the time being.
Sure, I might visit Quackville and my dear, little Charlotte from time to time to try and complete a few tasks I’ve left unfinished, namely the museum and the acquisition of certain recipes, but I think I’ve largely run out of anything major to do. I got a 5-star rating. The museum is almost complete. My house and island are decorated from head to toe. I even amassed nearly every pirate item from the newest incarnation of Gulliver. Not to mention I’m happy with the current villagers living on my island and have very little motivation to replace anyone. The only one I wasn’t sure about initially was Olaf (I’m not the biggest anteater fan), but I’ve since fallen in love with his personality, so he’s now a keeper. Oh, and I even got the “Western-style stone” recipe for my graveyard, something that took me about five months to find!
I still look forward to future updates for major holidays like Halloween and Christmas, and I also hope we can get an additional upgrade to our store and perhaps The Roost as an extra building to add to our island. But until then, I think my time playing the game for hours every day has come to…what I hope is…a temporary end. Few games can take over my life quite like Animal Crossing, and I suppose a break was inevitable. The only thing that eases the pain of growing bored with a game one had had so much fun with is the knowledge that we’ve still got plenty more to look forward to!
You hung in there for quite a while, didn’t you Duck? Quackville must be looking absolutely fantastic by now!

I am indeed quite proud with how Quackville has turned out so far. I’ve made a decent number of changes since my last tour, and I’ll eventually have to make a new video on how my island is doing. But for the time being, I’m just going to wait for more updates. I’m particularly excited for Halloween items! I bet they’ll spruce up my graveyard quite nicely!

The same thing happened to me. I considered even restarting my island. I want to collect everything possible, but the task is daunting and keeps me from even attempting to play. I think I’ll come back again one day but with almost 300 hours logged, I am certain I got my money’s worth.

I agree, we certainly got our money’s worth with this game, and with more updates on the way, there should still be more to look forward to. I hope we’ll eventually get some fancy Gracie furniture in a future update. I currently have roughly 4 million bells and nothing to spend them on!
