There’s a new 90’s shooter on the horizon, and it’s name is DUSK! Currently in development by New Blood Interactive, DUSK aims to help fill the void left by the decline of the classic FPS. If the trailers and early critical reception is anything to go by, then signs are good that it’ll be able to do exactly that!

As seen in the trailer above, DUSK is a shooter in the vein of Quake. It’s all about using interesting weapons to shoot everything on screen while zooming all over the place! The game will feature a 3-episode, 33-level, campaign, an “endless survival mode”, and arena multiplayer. No details of the multiplayer are available yet, but they should quickly follow after the mode’s reveal at QuakeCon later this month (Aug. 24 – 27).
The game may not look like much in terms of visuals, but I think that’s part of the charm. DUSK is meant to function like a 90’s shooter, so it only makes sense that it would look like one too. Here’s hoping that some of the tongue-in-cheek humor in this trailer will also be present in the game. Chances are probably good that it will. I mean this is a game featuring chainsaw-wielding scarecrows as enemies. It’s probably safe to say that it won’t be taking itself too seriously. Dusk doesn’t yet have a set release date, but is currently aiming to come out some time late this year. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more, so please stay tuned!
What do you think of DUSK? Ready for more 90’s shooter fun or are these sorts of games not really your thing?
