File Size for RE8 Winters’ Expansion Revealed

After more than a year of speculation as to what the ending of Resident Evil 8: Village actually means, and after several months since the Winters’ Expansion was announced, fans will finally be getting their answers at the end of this month. To prepare for this next (and possibly last) major piece of DLC, Capcom has announced just how much space fans will need to clear off of their hard drives. As it turns out, they won’t have to clear out all that much.

The Winters’ Expansion for RE8 is only going to take up about 7GB of hard disk space. That might not seem like much, but then perhaps not all that much is needed. The DLC is adding story stuff, but it’s reusing locations from the original campaign to do so. The other major addictions are just a camera mode (the campaign can now be played in 3rd person) and three characters for Mercenaries mode: Chris Redfield, Heisenberg and Lady Dimitrescu herself. The mode will also be getting at least two maps.

It sounds like a lot, yet it all apparently fits in a 7GB package, so not that bad at all, eh? Fans will be able to check it all out for themselves on October 28 for about $20. Platform doesn’t matter here, since this is coming to everything the base game released on (i.e. everything).

Are you psyched for this expansion? What do you think Rose will find in the village?
