Last week, Sony put out this year’s PlayStation Showcase, giving fans a taste of what’s to come between now and the end of 2022. There were things for just about everyone to get psyched for, but the one and only thing that held any interest for me was the new teaser trailer for God of War Ragnarok. I really enjoyed the 2016 God of War, so I’ve definitely been hungry for info on the sequel for a while now. Check it out for yourself below if you haven’t already.
Gameplay looks like it won’t disappoint, with new enemies to fight and new attacks to fight them with. The world looks like it’s been greatly expanded with plenty of new spaces to explore and at least two different environments to deal with. There may even be some sort of time skip involved going by how dramatic the change is. No comment on the story so far since it’s too early to infer much about what’s going on here.
All I can say is that I hope the team has stayed true to their original vision for how all this will play out. Good gameplay is what makes a game fun, but it can be greatly undermined by a compromised story. Anyway, it’s looking quite exciting so far. Hopefully we’ll get to see more soon.
What do you think of this trailer? Are you looking forward to the game or do you have concerns?
