The Clock is Still Ticking on the Judgement Website

Last week, Sega launched a new website featuring nothing but a countdown and a rather fetching background image. So far, Sega has said next to nothing about what the site is counting down to, but they have given up two clues. The first is that the site does indeed have something to do with Judgement, the detective spin-off of the Yakuza series. The second is that there is some sort of major announcement coming once the countdown expires May 7.

Seeing as the publisher has already released the upgraded, PS5 version of Judgement, fan speculation is that they will be announcing a sequel. Last month, some clever fans found that SEGA had filed a trademark for a project called “Lost Judgement,” so fans already have a pretty good reason to expect some sort of sequel announcement in the not too distant future.

It could also be the release of a PC version of the game, but that hardly seems worth a countdown website. Judgement obviously sold well enough for SEGA to keep paying attention to it, but I doubt its popularity is such that people would get all that excited over a PC port. Whatever the case, we’ll all find out soon enough. May 7th is only a handful of days away.

What do you think of this? Is it a sequel or a PC port? If you played Judgement, what did you think of it?
