The team behind Destruction AllStars announced this week that they’re delaying the game. it was originally supposed to release in November this year, but it has now been pushed back to a February release date. There is a benefit to this change though: PlayStation Plus subscribers will have two months to download the game for free. After that, anyone interested will have to buy the game like normal.
The developers said that the major reasons for this decision are a desire to launch the game with a healthy player base and to give people more opportunity to enjoy it on PlayStation 5. Fans who’ve already pre-ordered the game needn’t worry about losing their investment though, Sony is giving full refunds to everyone who did so.
Personally, I’m not all that invested in Destruction AllStars. It looks fun enough, and I might even download it since it’ll be on PlayStation Plus, but these sorts of destruction derby games usually aren’t my thing. That said, maybe this’ll be the one to change my mind. Until then, I have a feeling I’ll be spending a lot of my time with Cyberpunk 2077 once it launches next month.
Are you onboard for Destruction AllStars? What the next game you’re excited for?
