The first major piece of DLC for The Outer Worlds is almost here. The expansion arrives on September 9th, and Obsidian its impending release with a 10 minute gameplay presentation. The focus is on a side-mission rather than the main story, so it’s fairly spoiler-free in case you’re worried about that.

This video runs players through a side-mission on the new planet. It seems many of the scavengers out trying to make their fortune in the wilds are coming back somewhat…maddened by their experiences. What is it that’s driving everyone out of their minds? Well, you’ll just have to watch and find out for yourself.

The Outer Worlds is a decent RPG inspired by the likes of Fallout: New Vegas. It doesn’t exactly reach the same heights, but it’s a fun ride nonetheless. If you haven’t tried it already, it should still be free on the Xbox Game Pass. Check it out if you’ve already got the pass. As for Peril on Gorgon, well more content is usually better, right?
