Yesterday, indie developer Fatshark announced that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will indeed be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One. This announcement has been speculated about for awhile now, something that Fatsharks CEO, Martin Wahlund acknowledged in his official statement.
“Although speculations have been correct all along, today we are happy to start talking more console specifics as the Xbox One and Playstation versions has been confirmed,” he said.
For those unfamiliar with Vermintide 2, it is a first-person melee action game with a heavy emphasis on cooperative play. As a sequel, it will The introduce the dark, bloody and twisted “Chaos” as an enemy faction, and it will include 15 hero careers, new environments, talent trees and a proprietary “Heroic Deeds System”.
Those who’d like to learn more can do so at the game’s official site, and those looking to pre-order can follow this link for the PC version. Console pre-orders don’t open until 2018. If you don’t want to wait that long though, the game will be running a closed beta sometime in March or April. You can sign up for either the Xbox One or the PS4 beta.
Any Warhammer fans out there? Are you excited for this entry in the series?
