News Byte: Wii U Price Drop

Nintendo recently announced that Wii U sales  more than doubled in September as compared to the previous month thanks to a $50 price drop. This combined with the recent release of Wind Waker HD and the 2014 lineup drawing has even a Wii U pessimist like myself thinking that the console is finally on its way to success!

Oh wow, you’re right about the 3DS. When it first came out, you couldn’t pay someone to say something good about it! I REALLY want to believe in the Wii U, yet a $50 price cut isn’t enough for me to bite. But I’m really glad to hear that it had boosted sales for the moment. Honestly though, I don’t know that it’ll be enough to save it this holiday season — unlikely it’ll in any way come out on top over the PS4 and Xbox One. But y’know, maybe it’ll have its chance next year once more games come out.

I’m still not ready to buy a Wii U yet, either. There simply aren’t enough good games out. The main game I wanted that the Wii U had I just got for the PS3. I am curious to see what games come out for it in the future, though, but I may not bother to buy one unless something really good comes out. Like a new “Zelda” game. Which I don’t see as happening in the near future. Sorry, Wii U.
