Listmas 2020: Hatmonster’s Most Anticipated Games

Well, we’ve made it. 2020 is finally gone and 2021 is here at last. Will it be any better than its predecessor? Who knows? I hope so. At the very least there are many interesting games on the horizon, and these are the ones I’m most looking forward to!

Listmas 2020: The Duck’s Most Anticipated Games for 2021

To end off Listmas 2020, we’re going to talk about what games we’re most looking forward to in 2021!  In addition to new releases, I was going to list a few games I’d most like to see added to the Nintendo Switch Online service, as well.

Listmas 2020: Hatmonster’s Top Games of 2020

With the closing of each year, it’s always good to take a look back at how the past 365 days went. In terms of gaming, I’d say 2020 was a little below average. There was some good stuff released, but nothing outstanding. There was also at least one major disappointment depending on who you ask….

Listmas 2020: Cary’s Favorite Games Played in 2020

So, this week’s Listmas list is actually called “favorite games of 2020,” but I had to alter it slightly because, well…I’ve not played a single game released this year. (Cyberpunk 2077 is in the wings as of writing, but I doubt I’ll get to it before the clock strikes 2021.) As it turned out for…

Listmas 2020: The Duck’s Top Games from 2020

The Duck played a whole bunch of games this year, partly thanks to some really good sales, allowing me to download a good deal of digital games for sometimes as low as $5 or even $2!  Now that’s one heck of a deal!  Since I didn’t exactly buy that many games that were actually released…

Listmas 2020: Making a Merry In-Game Christmas

Video game Christmas events come in all kinds of flavors. Some are sweet and savory, dripping in fun and Christmas cheer. Others though…others are bland and chalky, putting forth the barest effort and only marginally acknowledging that there’s something to celebrate. While there’s definitely no single recipe for a great Christmas event, I believe there…

Listmas 2020: All I want for Christmas (events) in games is…

This week’s Listmas question is a simple one: what makes a great holiday event? Or, maybe it’s not so simple, since we all enjoy the holidays, and holidays with gaming in our own way. My experience with holiday gaming events is quite limited, unfortunately. Outside of some holiday-themed DLC, the only one I’ve actively participated…

Listmas 2020: The Duck’s Ideal Christmas Event

Christmas is nearly here, and with it, Toy Day should soon become available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.  While we know a few details about this upcoming event, I wanted to list what would make for my ideal Christmas event.

Listmas 2020: Cary’s Favorite Bonus Content

Downloadable content. Expansion packs. Season passes. Extended rigmarole. However you phrase it (maybe not that last way), bonus content for games has long been a part of the industry, and it’s not going away any time soon. I must admit that I wasn’t always a fan of such. For the bulk of my gaming history,…

Listmas 2020: Horsing Around in The Witcher 3

If you’re a fan of The Witcher, you know Roach, Geralt’s trusty steed (or steeds, as he names all of his horses “Roach”). As I’m knee-deep in The Witcher 3 now, I’ve come to know its version of Roach quite well. Or, well enough to feel like my bad luck with mounts in games (unless…
