Upcoming FNAF Game Into the Pit Just Got a New Trailer

A new trailer for the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s game, Into the Pit, just released.  But in case you’re unfamiliar, how about a bit of background before we dive in?  Into the Pit is the first ever official FNAF game based off of one of the stories, this one being a Fazbear Frights story of the same name, in which a kid named Oswald enters a…time-traveling ballpit?  As strange as the premise sounds, this particular ballpit will allow Oswald to travel from the modern day Jeff’s Pizza to the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria of the past that once occupied that very same building.  Oswald will need to survive five nights, all the while being relentlessly hunted by Spring Bonnie.

The trailer shows Oswald “traveling back to when it all began” when the old pizzeria was still in operation, and I must say, I look forward to seeing the place in its heyday.  (Even if it does include a…flossing Bonnie.  Sigh, this might even be worse than the infamous dabbing Chica.)  Then again, it’s possible this will be short-lived considering the screaming kids running for the exit!

And no, I did not miss the exotic butters in the prize machine…

According to the game’s Steam page, Into the Pit will have multiple endings, which could involve dooming Oswald’s father and children from the past if you’re not careful.  Considering the text in the trailer saying “when it all began”, I have to wonder if this might relate to the Missing Children Incident (known in the fandom as the MCI) where five children went missing.  Is it possible that Oswald’s actions could undo that or is this referring to another event entirely?  It also looks as if Spring Bonnie won’t be the only threat, as the Steam page refers to “animatronic creatures” (plural), and screenshots show Oswald dealing with Chica and Bonnie (not the spring version, I mean).

Into the Pit will be available on PC and all modern consoles (yes, even PS4).  As for the release date, none has been announced yet, but if this game has anything to do with FNAF’s 10th anniversary, then it’s possible we could expect to see this game released around August 8?  I suppose only time will tell.  If only I had access to a time-travelling ballpit…
