This has been a rather exciting year for FNAF fans. Not only did we get some awesome new DLC for Security Breach AND the long-anticipated FNAF movie, but we also have a brand new game to look forward to, Help Wanted 2. Like the previous VR game, this game contains various minigames, with the categories being Backstage, Fazcade, Staff Only, Food Prep, Ticket Booth, and VR versions of Sister Location gameplay.
We can already see that Help Wanted 2 must be a prequel to Security Breach, as the trailer stars a lot of familiar faces, including Glamrock Freddy, Roxy, Sun and Moon, and DJ Music Man. As for the inclusion of Sister Location characters like Funtime Freddy and Ballora, I am unsure whether or not they’ll be featured anywhere else in the game or just in that last category mentioned above. It looks like we’ll even get to see Captain Foxy, who has been a rather neglected character over the years. Seeing as he only appears in Security Breach as a statue in Kid’s Cove and cardboard cutouts, perhaps we’ll get to see what became of him and why he wasn’t present in that game. And considering the absence of Monty, is there any chance we’ll get to see Glamrock Bonnie (as Monty had replaced him before the events of Security Breach)?
There appears to be quite a selection of mini games, as well, including repairing Glamrock Freddy, playing a matching game with an endoskeleton, a Western-themed shooting gallery (complete with a cutout of Glamrock Chica dressed like she’s working in a saloon), among other things. One of the most interesting minigames I’ve seen thus far was the one where you’re fixing a carousel while keeping Moon at bay, for which we actually got to see more gameplay, courtesy of the FNAF booth at PAX back in September. I’m also very interested in the gameplay relating to DJ Music Man, as his huge presence looks very intimidating indeed.
As a side note, I’m rather confused about what the heck is going on with Helpy. Is he…foaming at the mouth?
In short, Help Wanted 2 looks like a lot of fun. There’s just one minor problem, affordability. If you’re like me and can’t afford to play VR games, then you’re out of luck, as this game is only available in VR, either on the PS VR2 for the PlayStation 5 or on PC. Nevertheless, the original Help Wanted released a non-VR version for the Switch and PS4 (I think you need a physical copy for the non-VR PS4 version, though), so maybe a more accessible version of this game will become available in the future. The game is releasing in less than a month on December 14, though I’m currently unsure of the price.
