DT Project Looks Interesting If Nothing Else

Digisky, a relatively new developer based in China, has announced “DT Project,” their very first AAA game. Now to be totally honest, my impression of China-developed games isn’t very good. The only stuff I’ve noticed come out of that space is mobile gacha-style games to stuff like Genshin Impact…another gacha-style game that also happens to be “heavily inspired” by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. So, yeah not a great impression. Will DT Project be the one to turn it around?

DT Project is an action RPG in a style similar to Devil May Cry. Players have to take on enemies as this so-far unnamed girl (who may or may not be a cyborg of some sort). I have to say, the graphics and animations on display in this video and the gameplay demo video are pretty good.

It’s also nice to see no sign of loot box or other gacha mechanics just yet. We’ve already got EA and the rest trying to nickel and dime us to death in their AAA releases; we don’t need even more developers/publishers trying to do the exact same thing. I don’t know if interested enough to keep a close eye on DT Project yet, but I think I am now at least willing to give it a proper look whenever it eventually releases.

What do you think of DT Project? Think you’ll be looking into it eventually?
