Video game creation…game? Dreams is now free to try for anyone who wants to take a crack at developing their first game. Being the highly experimental product that it is, giving players/creators a chance to try Dreams first for buying is probably for the best. Game development isn’t for everyone, and you can’t know whether or not you’ll like it until you try it. It’s perhaps too much of a leap for most people to put money on, so this is probably the best way to get the product in the hands of those who will actually appreciate it enough to buy it.
I haven’t played/used Dreams yet, and I honest don’t intend to. It looks like a wonderful creation suite for those who want to break into game design/development, but I’m certain it’s not for me. See, I already took a crack at game-making during my college days and found that I definitely did not enjoy the process. That’s not necessarily everyone though, and maybe that’s not you. Maybe you would like to make a game, but just need the right tool. Well, here you are! The most intuitive game creation suite is free to try! It doesn’t get any easier than that.
Think you’ll give Dreams a shot, or are you just not interested either?
