YouTube Highlights: July 2016

The end of July is nearly upon us…and that means it’s time for another look back on our YouTube happenings from the month! We’ve been fantastically busy keeping up with Let’s Plays and playthroughs and general gaming fun, and here’s a round-up of just a few of our highlights.

At the start of July, The Duck of Indeed kicked things off with another entry in her playthrough of Kirby’s Return to Dream Land for the Wii. Here Kirby’s on a quest to help restore the Lor Starcutter, the broken-down ship of Magalor, which he needs to get home. Will Kirby’s super inhaling-powers enable him and his friends to help Magalor? Tune in to find out!

Continuing from last month, The Duck also made it quite a bit further in her three Let’s Plays. First up was Super Paper Mario, which took Mario to some totally “schweet” places.

And then, she had tons more to share from Donkey Kong 2, including the big match-up between the Kongs and King K. Rool, the meanest Kremling of them all!

And finally, who could forget Super Mario Galaxy, the topsiest-turviest Mario game if ever there was! And Bee Mario finally paid us a visit. Everyone likes Bee Mario. 😀

Beyond playing through games fully, we also kept things aloft with a couple of our ongoing game series: “Not Zangief” and “Nostalgic Notions.”

In “Not Zangief,” my fighting game series, I was extremely sad to report on the death of our beloved PlayStation 2 at the beginning of the month. But that didn’t mean the series was going to die as well. I still had other games to play, so I did the best I could with what I had! (Which is to say “okay,” because I still have a looooong way to go in becoming any kind of fighting game expert.) This month also marked the end of this second series of Not Zangief. But no worries, it’ll return later on this year!

As for our retro gaming series “Nostalgic Notions,” The Duck posted several more videos featuring games from Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection for the Xbox 360. Over the past few weeks she made her way through the likes of classic such as Ecco the Dolphin, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and others, with amazing results!  If you’re all about classic games, you’ll definitely want to click over to experience the menagerie of fun!

And that brings our monthly video show to a close. As always, be sure to check out our YouTube channel – thanks to everyone for all the likes and comments. And don’t forget to subscribe, because you never know what’s going to pop up from us next!
