Tetragon is a 2D puzzle game that follows the story of a father looking for his missing son. The demo covers a good handful of these puzzles, all of which take place within a square-shaped space. While your character cannot jump, he can climb and utilize two tools for changing his environment. First off, you can use these stones to rotate the whole puzzle left or right by 90 degrees. And secondly, you also obtain this lantern, which allows you to manipulate the length of these pillars. Your goal in each level is to reach the exit by changing your environment and finding a safe path to the end.

After having played through the 30-minute demo, I don’t really have any desire to play more of this game, and I found changing the length of the pillars to be a rather tedious affair, especially when there are a lot of them to cycle through. Nevertheless, this is at least an interesting puzzle game with some unique mechanics and some rather pretty graphics. Plus, the way you can see the next puzzle in the background is rather cool, as well. The game’s description also talks about “epic battles”, though I can’t say I know anything about what those might be like.
The game is available on all major consoles and PC for $9.99 and supposedly features hundreds of different puzzles and 40 different levels (I’m a bit confused by these numbers, though…), which should take about 5-6 hours to complete.
