While games are good primarily due to good gameplay, good characters are a large part of what makes a game fun and memorable. Getting to know them is often as interesting as the overarching story itself, and I dare say many of us have thought about who we’d like to hang out with IRL were it possible. So with that in mind, here are some of the characters I wouldn’t mind having over for Christmas dinner somehow.

Garrus

As I’ve said many a time before, Garrus is one of the best bros in gaming. The dude is down for whatever, so I sure he’d bring a chill air to any Christmas dinner. Just gotta make sure there’s some food he can actually eat around.

Isabelle

Isabelle is the sort of earnest character that’s just happy to be included in whatever is going on. She’s also one to give everything her all, so you could definitely count on her to lead any Christmas carols or get the party poppers going.

Gale

Gale is absolutely the sort who’d be the life of the party. He comes of as the sort of person who’s just as comfortable leading toasts as he is pulling off fun parlor tricks for the kids with his magic. He’s also got a lifetime of exploits behind him too, so you know he’ll have plenty of good stories to share once the wine starts flowing.

Luigi

Luigi might seems an odd choice, but I dunno; he just strikes me as a good guest. He’d definitely bring an extra side dish to share with everyone and would most likely be the first to volunteer to help with the clean up. He’s not the most confident or sociable guy, but then those aren’t necessarily the most important when it comes to whether or not someone would be fun to hang out with.

Sly Cooper

Sly would be fun in many of the same ways Gale would. He’d also easily be the life of the party and have plenty of entertaining tales to share. Also, there’s also a good chance that he might just be able to get his hands on some of the choicer meats or drinks for the party too. Afterall, who better to help get the best for your Christmas dinner party than a master raccoon theif for whom nothing is out of stock?
