Hello again, dear readers! Halloween has come and gone, but I’m not yet out of the mood for spooky, so I thought I’d share with you all something I did for this year’s All Hallow’s Eve. It might be spooky, it might be silly, or it might be a little bit of both.
I carved a pumpkin this year for Halloween. Of course, that’s nothing to be particularly excited over, but for me it is, because this is the first pumpkin I’ve carved since I was a duckling. Naturally, being abnormally obsessed with one particular hobby (gaming, if you weren’t certain), it had to be video game-themed. Or in this case, PC-themed. I’m not sure how good it is, but it’s supposed to be Slender Man in the woods. I peeled the pumpkin skin off in some places to try some kind of shading effect and because his slender limbs would break off if I carved around them. And I accidentally began shading the parts I wasn’t cutting out rather than the parts that were going to be removed, so Slender Man’s been colored in with pen, but this might have been my “masterpiece” (and by masterpiece, I mean “rubbish abomination”) better in the end, after all. I don’t know. We’ll just say it’s good.
So, what do you think? Anyone else carve any delightful pumpkins? And merry late Halloween, everyone!
